Nikolas Weinstein
Architectural glass
For over three decades, Weinstein has crafted his sculptures using a unique process. Borosilicate glass tubes are shaped, then set in a custom kiln with a computer-controlled pin bed. The resulting works appear unconventionally fluid and tactile—a testament to the artists' sophisticated process.
Each piece is designed with its architectural setting in mind, using light as a crucial element. Weinstein’s sculptures appear to defy gravity, creating fluid forms that reveal the unseen natural forces that animate both the space and the artwork.
Weinstein draws inspiration from nature, like flowing water and honeycombs, blending organic shapes with architectural spaces. His works command attention yet feel at home within their surroundings—bold yet serene, ambiguous yet perfectly attuned to their environment.
