Jennifer Newman has been greatly influenced by the journeys she has made while living and working across the world.
The idea of movement filters into much of her work, with each piece she creates representing a fluid state – a journey from one place to another.
Fascinated by the Earth’s surface, Newman works with clay, natural earth pigments, crushed minerals, oil paints and patinated silver leaf. Interested in evolving coastlines and extraordinary geological forces that govern our planet, Newman’s work captures the fierce beauty of the natural world.
